The secret Seven

This is the review of the first book in the Secret Seven series that is ' The Secret Seven '. It is written by Enid Blyton by using simple and common words which could be understood by a child in the 6th standard. This book is first published by Hodder and Stoughton in Great Britain in 1949.

We all would have heard about "The Secret Seven" that is a book with mysteries, adventures and fun. In the first book of the Secret Seven it is a mystery that they solved. Always mysteries turn up in ones life unexpectedly. This happened to Jack one day when he was in search for his badge and found someone forcefully dragged into an house. This is what the adventure is all about. Want to know who the prisoner is? Read this book.

It is really an interesting story and is hard to predict the future. It has only
about 120 pages and 100 Rs. I suggest everyone who like
good friendship or adventures or fun or mysteries to read this book.

Well done Secret Seven

'Well done Secret Seven' is the third part in the Secret Seven series. In this part Enid Blyton, the writer of this book has used some advanced words so that the children could learn new words for building their vocabulary. This book has 118 pages and cost 99 Rs. The book is divided into 18 chapters too.

The students who like to read about adventures and mysteries will have a great time reading this book. This story is about a new meeting place for the Secret Seven which was a tree house where someone else also visited. Who was using the tree house? Why did he come there? Is there a problem for the person? These are the questions that they solve as to complete the mystery that they are in the trail of solving.

This is one of the most interesting stories that i have read so far. May be its not for others. It just takes an hour to finish the entire book if there is an actual wish to do so. I asked Ajay K V who is my friend about this book as he also had read the book. His reply was surely a positive one. He told that it was a nice mysterious story. I suggest all who love adventures and mysteries to read this book.

Go Ahead Secret Seven

The Secret Seven, Peter, Janet, Barbara, Pam, Colin, Jack and George are in the middle of another adventure in the book "Go Ahead Secret Seven" which is the 5th part in the series of "The Secret Seven". This book is first published in the year 1953 in Great Britain by Hodder and Stoughton. It was in 2004 that the book was first published in India. Enid Blyton, the author of the book seems that he love children as he had written so many books related to adventure and mysteries such as "The Secret Seven", "The Famous Five", "The mystery series" etc. which the children like the most. Also another peculiarity is that the characters are always children!
The story of the book "Go Ahead Secret Seven" starts when Jack's sister Susie teases Peter about the society not having any meeting for a long time. This time the seven are in the search for an adventure as nothing comes up in their society. Each member of the society had a work in the city. All of them kept their eyes open expecting any adventure to turn up again. As George and Colin were sent to watch some unsuspecting members in the public, George shadows the wrong person which resulted in the forceful resign from the society. At last Scamper becomes a real member of the society. Fortunately George was in an adventure which was reported to Peter, but he was not permitted by his parents to involve in it. It was a case of dogs disappearing from the city.
The book consists of 18 chapters each containing 5-6 pages. The total pages are about 135. The book has about 100 Rs. Actually, better not to buy the book but read it from someone or from the library!
It was also a nice story. But compared to the other stories of Enid Blyton it was not very exciting as we would be sure that it's George who would find something for their society and he would be taken back. But if we are reading this story of Enid Blyton at first, it would be exiting enough for a child. So I suggest everyone who like to read adventurous books to read this before reading other books of Enid Blyton.

Secret seven on the trail

I always think why no adventure turn up in my life. But when I read this book I get a relief. 'Secret Secret on the trail" is the 4th part of the series written by Enid Blyton. This was a different story from others.

This time it was the 'famous five', a group formed by Jack's sister, Susie who became the reason for having a new adventure for the Secret Seven. She actually played pranks on Jack by saying the name of a place to prove that the famous five had an adventure going on. Jack falls on that and he goes with George to that place. But, there was seriously something happening there. Both of them had a great time in the place. Now they are on the trail to solve this mystery.

This book has about 140 pages and costs only 100 Rs. The story was really interesting to read and the most exciting part was when Jack and George went up to the hill to the place where Susie had said. I suggest all of you to read this book and I am sure all would like it.

Book Review

MALICE
KEIGO HIGASHINO
LITTLE BROWN PUBLISHERS

8.5/10
Malice is a story revolving around the murder of a best-selling novelist Keigo Higashino, who was to leave to Vancouver in the day of his death. It revolves around his fellow writer Nonuguchi and the detective named Kyochiro Kaga.

I took this book when I saw it in a book fair in school. What actually drew me towards the book was its cover. It created a sense of mystique when I saw it. The story seamlessly flicks between Osamu Nonuguchi's accounts and Kyochiro Kaga's notes. This is a more fresh approach to writing crime stories and I liked it.

This is the third part of Keigo Higashino's books.his other books include 'The salvation of a saint' and 'The devotion of suspect X' The book was originally written in Japanese and was translated to English by Alexander O Smith and Elye Alexander. It is a brilliantly realized tale of cat and mouse, the detective and the writer battle over the truth of the past and how events led to the murder really unfold. The style of first person writing takes us deeper into the intricate plot and it blasts open in the end. It is an extraordinary thriller that will linger long in the memory.

Review of Narnia: Prince Caspian

Review of "The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian"
Prince Caspian, the 4th in the series of Narnia, as usual is also a story of war. This time it is the talmarines who attack the Narnians. But still a boy from the talmarine is with Narnia, the Prince Caspian.

It is a beautiful story with really touching parts of the siblings, the heroes actually. Each one has their own powers which they use for their own country even if it was a threat to their life.

This book with only 240 pages is really interesting to read as a thriller which costs only 150 Rs. This edition first published in 2008 was real success. The book also consists of still photos from the movie. I am sure that everyone would love this story and Narnia, and wish to be one among the characters.

A wonderful story written by Stephanie Meyer, Twilight is a vampire love story. Everyone loves love stories, but this book is something different which has a story of a girl loving a vampire.

Isabella finds the whole family of the Cullen's extraordinary but couldn't find what was different in them. But at last she finds out that Edward Cullen, Her lover was a vampire who sucks blood. But she continues to love him.

This book consisting of 434 pages cost about 400-500 Rs. It is really worth reading. This was first published in Britain in 2006, which is the first part in the series. The story is divided into 24 chapters so as to read easily.

Review of Breaking Dawn

Review of "Breaking dawn"
Most of you readers must have noticed the book Breaking Dawn, but I am sure, in that 50% of you won't have read because of its size. No matter how much its size is, if you have a real interest it will be finished in not more than 3 days.

This book "Breaking Dawn" written by Stephenie Meyer is such a book with almost 700 pages. It is the fourth part in the bunch of Twilight. This is a continuous story of the other parts of Twilight. The different characters in the story makes it interesting. Bella, in this story is confused whether to go with Edward or Jacob, her friend. She realized that she loved both of them. But at last she makes a good decision. This book also has an unexpected ending.

This book was published in Great Britain in 2008. As this book costs a high amount I suggest that one can read it from libraries or from their friends.  I also suggest everyone who likes horror and love stories to read this book.

REVIEW OF “ONE DAY AT HORROR LAND”

REVIEW OF "ONE DAY AT HORROR  LAND"

"One day at horrorland" is the 16th part in the series of "Goosebumps" after the book "You can't scare me". This book published by APPLE PAPERBACKS cost 110 Rs. Like the other books in the series this book is also a little scary, but actually not up to the mark.

In the story, The Morris family are in for a trip to a garden but unfortunately land up on a trip to horrorland. After a half day's trip they found something weird happening in the park. This book is all about the experiences of travelling in different rides and their final escape from horrorland.

According to my view, unlike other books of Goosebumps this is less scary and not much exiting. This book will be good for the starters. So I suggest the students of small classes to read the book and enjoy!

Review of "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince"

REVIEW OF "harry potter and the half blood prince"

"Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince", according to me is one of the most exciting and unforgettable book. This book published in Great Britain in 2005 was also made as a movie. This book is a real mysterious and emotional story written by J.K.Rowlings.

In his book Harry Potter goes back into people's mind to know about Voldemort's past. He also finds a book belonging to the Half Blood Prince which would show him easy ways to complete his works. It happened to be too late when he knew about Voldemort and the Half Blood Prince. It is Dumbledore who helps Harry to investigate about it. The most devastating part in the book was the death of Dumbledore.

Want to know how Dumbledore was killed? Who the Half Blood Prince was? Then Read this part of the Harry Potter. It is really a nice story with lots of adventures, mysteries, horror and emotions. I suggest everyone to read this part of Harry Potter series "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince".

Review of Matilda

Review of Matilda

One of the most interesting books of Roald Dahl "Matilda" includes a variety of characters which I felt the most wonderful. The book first published by Jonathan Cape in 1988 costs just 239 Rs. This book is illustrated by Quentin Blake.

Matilda, a girl who is very fond of reading had an intelligent brain. But no one, even her parents just couldn't recognise her talents. It was when she started attending a school, she came across a teacher who figured out her abilities. But then her Miss also faced a bunch of problems. Now Matilda is trying to solve it.

I am not going to break the suspense. The book is really interesting to read as it also includes cartoon pictures. The book also contains a bunch of humours making it really enjoyable. I suggest all who like reading to read this book.

This book helps us realize that we should never be a part of group who kills heir environment. This story is about a family Greggs who always had a habit of hunting animals. But the magic finger turns them into a good human.
This book first published in USA in 1966 is of the amount about 100-200 Rs. I suggest everyone to read this book for a good start in reading.
