One Night @ The Call Center

One Night @ The Call Center

Title: One Night @ The Call Center

Author: Chetan Bhagat

Publisher: Rupa

I.S.B.N: 978-81-291-0818-0

Pages: 276

Price: Rs.95

One Night @ The Call Center is another inspiring, youth touching, dark, non-stop and of course pitch perfect book by the world's No:1 bestseller Chetan Bhagat. Needless to say about Chetan Bhagat because I think there is no need to explain about him as well as the Indian youth and the older Indian is concerned but then also I would like to say about his other works which had of course  enthused the Indian youth which is growing as fast as a bacteria and will  enthuse the world youth  and this does not includes an everlasting list just like the secret seven but has an everlasting list of readers just like for Harry Potter. This includes five point someone, 3 mistakes of my life, Revolution 2020 and at last but not the least 2 states. The story is all about 6 people working in a call center which includes the main protagonist Shyam and followed by other protagonists which act as youth  representatives of India and this includes Vroom, Priyanka, Esha, Mlitary Uncle, Radhika and the story's side effects which  includes Bhakshi, Ganesh and of course the so called "youth enemies" which are none other than their parents. The story starring with these Youth representatives and enemies starts with a boring night duty (which usually act as an enemy of 1/5th of the Indian youth) and goes on revolving and wandering like a lost train and ends with a sense of victory to the Indian youth who work up day and night to bring something new for the country which will be a work of lifetime of their sweat either beneficial or important. Despite the sweat and hardness took for Bhagat to complete this book there is also an another main culprit behind this book and the story is presented in such a manner that  the one who reads this book see before their eyes the real night witnessed by our Indian youth and thanks almighty that the book does not contained any pictures because the presence of the pictures may really make me agree to the opinion it-is-not-worth-reading and I thank Bhagat and all others (who stood beside him to make this a successful one) that it did not had a single bit of image because otherwise the book may have stolen from me the opportunity to imagine which is as better as a butter!!!!!!.

The book is published by Rupa and it worth a five short hundred (95) rupees. The book has really concentrated on the Indian youth which work day and night for their nation until their bones break up. I am proud to be a Bhagat reader and I also agree with the comment Shashi Tharror had published at the back page of this book. I hope you had enjoyed this review and among the readers we let the books do the talking so I hope you are also ready to hear the guttering voice of it which had struck a chord within Indian youth and I hope you are very anxious to know more about the book, the main culprit, the story, their victory and of course THE PHONE CALL!!!!!!!!!!!.

Tintin and his fox terrier Snowy arrive at Shanghai to meet Mr. Mitsuhirato. Mitsuhirato warns them that the maharaja is in danger and should return to India. Wang Chen Yee who is the leader of the society, requests Tintin to help them in their mission which Tintin readily agrees.

Tintin spies on Mitsuhirato at the Blue Lotus opium den. Tintin finds Mitsuhiraro blowing up a Chinese railway. The Japanese Govt use this as a chance to invade the Shanghai region. Suddenly Tintin is caputred by Mitsuhirato and tries to poison him with Rajaijah. He is helped by a local boy named Chang Chong Chen whom Tintin rescues from the flood. But soon they realise that it was a trap and Fang was not there.  The Thompson brothers are employed by Dawson and is in the job of arresting Tintin. Tintin  allows  himselves  Misuhiratoto to  kidnap him. Tintin is taken to the Blue Lotus as a prisoner and it is revealed that Mitsuhirato is working with  Roberto Rastapopoulus, who is the head of the opium smuggling team whom Tintin had earlier battled in 'The Cigars Of Pharaoh'. But Tintin along with Chang and the other members of the Sons Of The Dragon fight the smugglers and rescue Fang . Rastapopoulus is arrested and Mitsuhirato commits suicide. Later, Fang prepares a medicine to cure the poison of Rajajiah and Wang adopts Chang as his child.
I liked this book very much because the author presents the book very humorously and in an enjoying way. I hope that all those who read this review will get a curiosity to read this book.

The Feluda Mysteries: A Bagful Of Mysteries

The Feluda Mysteries: A Bagful Of Mysteries

Title:The Feluda Mysteries: A Bagful Of Mysteries

Author: Satyajit Ray

Pages: 48

Price: Rs.99

Publisher: Penguin books

I.S.B.N: 9780143331094

The Feluda Mysteries- A Bagful Of Mystery is one of the thrilling, adventurous book in the Feluda adventures by  our one and only Bollywood director and a stunning author - Satyajith Ray. Satyajith Ray had made many other works other than Feluda mysteries which includes Our films, Their films, The Emperor's ring which I think is just like his stunning work Appu triology which had struck a chord in Indian Cinema and of course the youth mind of India and I just wish that to be also a book so I could really enjoy it and I think  someday it will. The book is all about the mystery of Feluda- the main protagonist and he is followed by Topshe, Lalmohan Ganguli, Dinananth Lahiri and much more and the story is all about a query on Dinananth  Lahiri's bag which contained an old inscription and some valuables. Lahiri lost them during a journey and Feluda begins his journey once more to find the bag and the rest you read and find out. The book I think can be best quoted with "an aimless train with many passengers" because I think the book goes in one way or another which will not relate the main plot just like an aimless train and the passengers just imitating the characters because it contains a lot that each make a suspect in our mind and the story goes all the way zigzagging through their researchers and  tricks to make clear of the suspect just like the train which is struggling to make their way to the destination. Just like the passenger's anxious and fear that the train will somersault or witness an accident the same way the reader will feel that the book will finish the story in such a manner that it won't relate the main plot and a fear develops in the readers mind about  the pages which is as small as an ant. But just like the god's blessing the train reaches the destination, the same way the reader will also end the book happily.

The book is published by Penguin books and cost 99 rupees. I like Feluda the most because he is so brave and genious and bold as a man that it makes us a super character in our mind, I recommend this book to all those who like my review because I don't think that there is an age limit for this book. Despite the story which had made my mind  such a way that there is no stone left untouched, there is also a large number of pictures  as in comics and they are all keenly focused on adventure. I think the book had really struck a chord in the Indian inspired youth, readers mind, adventures and of course YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harry Potter Deathly Hallows

Name of the book: Harry Potter Deathly Hallows
Author: J. K. Rowling
Main characters: Harry, Hermione & Ron
It’s hilarious simply mind blowing, astounding, mind blogging even with these words you may not get an idea of the book.it thrills you to an unimaginable and unexplainable extent that you would never want to leave the book.it is fully packed of the trios adventures and new findings.  It’s even quite emotional at times you may end up crying (that is if you are a very sentimental person).  This part describes Harry’s pursuit of the horcruxes in order to destroy Voldemort. In his way he uncovers many secrets of the magical world. And also their friendship and they themselves are put to test in many ways.
I would recommend such a book because it takes you through a journey that is full of adventures and mystical creatures.

The Kid Who Became President

Author- Dan Gutman
Publishers- Scholastic
Pages- 227
Cost- Rs 342
ISBN- 978-0-545-44214-5

The Kid Who became President is a wonderful book written by Dan Gutman and is the sequel to The Kid Who Ran For President. The book takes over the story from where it was left off in the first book. The Protagonist of the book are Judson Moon, Chelsea Daniels, Mrs Syers and the list goes on.

If You have read the first book in the series you would know how Judd was able to contest and win the Presidential Elections of The United States. After his winning of the elections he had resigned immediately. This book takes the job of narration from that part. After his sudden resignation Mrs Syers comes to meet him and gives him some piece of advice. He then decides to become the president and moves to the house of presidents, The White House. After his taking over he meets a lot of people and many parties are conducted and his ratings go up. But gradually he does nothing and his ratings go down. During that many disasters occur which are wonderfully told in this book. Also when he almost gets assassinated and when America is on the verge of a Third World War, the way he escapes from them is really wonderful and the way the author has written them is really simple and also interesting. And it appear Judd has a great sense of humor and has an annoying habit. The climax is something extraordinary and is something one won't expect. Read this book to know how powerful a kid can become and how difficult things can be solved easily.

George's Cosmic Treasure Hunt

Author- Lucy and Stephen Hawking
Publishers- Corgi
Pages- 320
Cost-  Rs 350
ISBN-  978-1-4169-8671-3

George's Cosmic Treasure Hunt is a book written by the world renowned scientist Stephen Hawking and his daughter Lucy Hawking. This is sequel to George's Secret Key To The Universe and is the prequel to George and The Big Bang. The main characters of the book would make a long list as almost all the characters play and important role. But just for the record the protagonists are George, Annie, Emmet, Eric and  the super Computer Cosmos.

Most of us think that Stephen Hawking cannot write a book for children as he is a great scientist and that he can only write books like A Brief History Of Time and books on Black Holes. But after reading this book, I had a change of mind because the book clearly is for children and it has many interesting facts about the greatest mystery known to man, the Universe. The book starts by Annie going to America as her father had got a post in the new Mars Mission. After a few months, George gets an e-mail from Annie telling an Emergency. He goes there and finds Emmet along with her who is a cousin of Annie. After witnessing the launch of a spaceship and also seeing the malfunctioning of Homer, a Mars Rover, the three of them fix Cosmos, a super computer which can open portals to space to find what the problem with Homer is and also who is the person who sent the mysterious threatening message that tells is they don't follow what it says, the Earth won't have any future. The book also has may pictures and fact files of the Universe and altogether this is a wonderful book. So, grab this book and join the three in an adventure through space and also to know more about the mysteries of the Universe.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
      By Mark Haddon
This is quite a different book by Mark Haddon.  It is published by David Fickling books. It has 275 pages and costs Rs.399.
The protagonist of the book is Christopher John Francis Boone who is 15 years old. He has a superbly logical brain. He understands science and maths  well but he can’t understand human emotions. He knows all the countries of the world and their capitals and every prime number up to 7,057. He lives on patterns, rules and timetables. He hates going out and having outside food. He also hates yellow and brown. Red was his favourite colour. He loves animals and he had a pet rat called Toby. One day his neighbour’s dog, Wellington was killed and this makes Christopher a terrier on the track. He starts to write a mystery novel, as he was fascinated by Sherlock Holmes. He starts with the curious incident of the dog in the night time, but ends up uncovering other mysteries too!
As I mentioned earlier, this book is very different and interesting. When I opened this book, I found this strange numbering of the chapters! But soon I after I started reading, I found out that this book’s chapters are numbered according to the prime numbers as Christopher loves them. This book also contains many designs and diagrams because it is based on the protagonist’s thoughts. The author was very successful in making the fictional character seem real! I should say this is a very original novel!
I would like to suggest this book to all the readers club members as it is exclusively available in the library for us!!

The Adventures Of Tintin- The Castalfore Emerald is the 21st book in the 24 books series of Tintin by the Belgium Cartoonist Herge.  The author Herge had made many books other than Titnin and some of them areThe valley of the New York, Destination New York which I think will be a great witness of adventure for all of us who love reading his book. The main protagonists of this book are Tintin, Thomson, Thompson, Bianca Castalfore and the rest you read and find out and the protagonists can  be best quoted with "the suspect of the reader" as I would like to call them like that because all made me very confusing and curiosity grew on me larger and larger as I flip through the pages . The story is all about Brian Castalfore and her jewel and Tintin goes on in an investigation and the rest you read and find out.

The book has a total of 62 pages and the presentation is so nice and I don't have to express it because I think all of us who read this review knows well better than me and if you don't just pick up the book from our library not only for the acknowledgement of  the presentation but also for being a witness of his adventure . I would like to recommend this book to all those who had not witnessed the adventure of Tintin. I hope you will enjoy this book and will feel great as being a witness of his adventure just like I felt!!!!!!

Heroes Of Olympus

The House Of Hades

Author- Rick Riordan
Publishers- Puffin Books
Pages- 608
Cost- Rs 499
ISBN- 978-1423146728

Heroes Of Olympus The House Of Hades is the fourth book in the Heroes Of Olympus Series written by Rick Riordan. The Book tells us all about Greek and Roman Mythology. The book is preceded by The Mark Of Athena and is going to be followed by The Blood Of Olympus which will be released this October.

"Rick Riordan has done it again!"
is an apt quote to describe this book. He has amazed me once again by narrating a wide range of legends in such a simple way. He takes us to the depths of Tartarus with two of the protagonists Percy and Annabeth while the Jason, Piper, Hazel, Frank and Nico search for them. While Percy and Annabeth tumble through Darkness and Monsters, the others fight through venti, thieves and giants. The feeling one gets when one experiences fear and excitement can be understood as one pores through the pages of the book. And also the lines of the prophecy starts to make some sense. Spoon feeding the entire story would not be nice. So grab this book to know the story.

ISBN: unknown
Cost:  Rs 30
Number of pages: 220
'Rumpelstiltskin' is a famous classic book. These types of books are storybooks presenting the most enthralling and famous tales that have been told for generations. When I was small, I use to wonder what it is. This story tells about the bad effects of bragging and being greedy. Classic stories like this are good for children between 7-10 years of age. All classic stories have some values in it. I don't usually read classics but this time something compelled me and that is why I started reading. After finishing, I realised that it was not bad. So friends, you all should try a classic book before it's too late.
