The book The three musketeers is a wonderful and a famous book written by Alexandre Dumas. The author Alexandre Dumas was a French born and he had made many works such as Twenty years later, The count of Monte Cristo etc. The story revolves around the romance of the duke of Buckingham and the queen of England, the protection of the country by the four musketeers and the adventures between them and the enemies. The story is very interesting from the beginning to the end. The story starts with the arrival of the Gascon D'Artagnan (who is sent by his father to become one of the musketeers of the king), the duels made by him and the three musketeers( Aramis, Athos and Porthos) and their adventures. Then the story changes into a great adventure of breaking up the romance of the duke and the queen with some tricks which changes into a great blame of war between England and France. The story ends wonderfully as the musketeers kill the enemies ( Milardy and Rochefort) who kills the main characters Madame Bonancieux ,the Duke and also tries to kill the musketeers. At last the Cardinal( who first acts as a adviser of the enemies and  at last becomes a good person) gives a promotion for D'Artagnan as a commissioner of the musketeers.

The story is divided into many chapters and it consists 192 pages. The story is written in a simple language. The characters of this story are D'Artaganan, Aramis, Athos, Porthos, Madame Bonancieux, Cardinal ,The Duke and the queen and I like D'artagnan the most. It costs 92 rupees and it has also hilarious illustrations which helps us to understand simply. I recommend this book to all the students of class 5th to 8th. I hope you will like this book and read it sooner or later.
