      This book ‘The Last of the Mohicans’ is a story based on the war between England and France in 1757.  In this story, the author, James Fenimore Cooper, introduces many characters such as Colonel Munro, his daughters Cora and Alice, Major Heyward, a music teacher David Gamut, Hawkeye, two members of the tribe Mohican – Uncas and Chingachgook and an Iroquois tribe leader Le Renerd.   ‘The Last of the Mohicans’ is regarded as one of the most framed novels that are ever written about red Indians.

     This story is about the capturing of Colonel Munro’s daughters by the Iroquois tribe leader Le Renerd when the British surrender to the French.  This story is written in such a way that the readers get anxious to know what happens next. Moreover this story is mind thrilling and interesting.  The main character Uncas, the brave is one of two left in the tribe of the Mohicans.  In the ending of the story comes a twist.
